((hereinafter referred to as the "Company") provides the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") concerning the treatment and handling of confidential information in connection with the services provided by the Company on this website (hereinafter referred to as the "Services"):
Article 1.Confidential Information
"Personal Information" shall mean the confidential information referred to as "Personal Information" by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, which is information that can identify a living individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, or other contact information or description contained in such information. "History Information and Characteristic Information" means Confidential Information other than "Personal Information" as defined
above, and includes information regarding services used and goods purchased, the history of pages and advertisements viewed, keywords searched by the user with their dates, times, methods and environments thereof, as well as postcode, gender, profession, age, and IP address of the user, cookie information, location information and identification data of the terminal of the user, etc.
Article 2.Collection Method of Confidential Information
The Company may ask a user to provide his/her full name, date of birth, address, telephone number, e-mail address, bank account number, credit card number, driver license number or other personal information when the user registers with the site. In addition, the Company may collect transaction records which contain the user's personal information and clearance information including information provider, sponsors, and entities to which advertisements are distributed, which are transmitted between the user and the Company's affiliate (hereinafter referred to as the "Affiliate").
When the user uses and views the services and site of the Company and its Affiliates, the Company will collect History Information and Characteristic Information concerning the user, such as regarding the services and software used, goods purchased, the history of pages and advertisements viewed, keywords searched, with their dates, times, methods and environments of use (when accessed with a portable terminal, including the transmission status and various configuration information of the service of such terminal), IP address, cookies information, location information, and identification information of the terminal.
Article 3. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
The Company collects and uses Personal Information for the following purposes:
(1)To display user registration information such as full name, address, contact information,payment method, services and goods used and purchased by the user, as well as information concerning prices thereof, so that the user may view and correct such user registration information and view his/her status of utilization;
(2)To use the user's e-mail address to communicate with the user, and to use the user's contact information such as name and address to send goods to the user and to communicate with the user as necessary;
(3)To use the user's full name, date of birth, address, telephone number, bank account number, credit card number, driver license number, the receipt of certified mail and other information to confirm the user's identification;
(4)To use information concerning payments such as the names and volume of purchased articles, the type, terms and time of service used, billing amounts, full name, address, bank account number and credit card number;
(5) To display user information registered with the Company on the user’s input screen so that the user may input necessary data conveniently, and to transmit such information to other services (including those provided by the Affiliate) at the user's instruction;
(6)To use the user's usage status, full name, address and other user identification information so that the Company may suspend or terminate the service of a user who has violated the terms of use of the Services, or attempted to use the Service for fraudulent or wrongful purposes;
(7)To use information necessary for the Company to reply to user inquiries regarding price billings, usage status, or contact information of the user;
(8) To achieve purposes incidental to the above mentioned purposes.
Article 4. Provision of the Personal Information to a Third Party
Unless otherwise permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other law, the Company shall not provide Personal Information to a third party without prior consent of the user except for the following cases:
(1)As provided under applicable laws;
(2)When necessary to protect the life, limb, or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain consent from the person whose information will be provided (hereinafter referred to as "Person");
(3)When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain consent from the Person;
(4)When it is necessary to cooperate with an organization or agency of national, provincial or local government or persons entrusted with service thereof in the conduct of business as provided by applicable laws, and obtaining consent from the Person may interfere with the conduct of such business;
(5)When the following have been notified or published in advance:
- that providing information to a third party to use is included in the purpose;
- data items to be provided to the third party;
- how the information will be provided to the third party; and
- the Company will suspend the providing of personal information to the third party upon request from the Person.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, for the purpose hereof, none of the following shall be considered as providing to a third party:
(1)when the Company outsources the handling of personal information in whole or in part to the extent necessary to achieve its purpose of use;
(2)when personal information is provided in connection with the succession of business due to a merger or other business development;
(3)when personal information is shared with specific persons and the Person is, in advance, either notified of or informed how to access the notice to the effect that personal information will be shared, and of the items of information to be shared and used, the names of the persons with whom it will be shared, the purpose for which it will be used, and the name and title of the administrator of such personal information.
Article 5.Disclosure of Personal Information
The Company, when requested by the Person to disclose his/her personal information to such Person, shall do so without delay. However, if any one of the following applies, the Company might decide not to disclose such information in whole or in part, and in such a case will notify the Person of such decision without delay. For disclosing personal information, the Company will charge the Person 1,000 yen per request.
(1)There is a risk of harm to the life, limb, property or other rights or interests of a third person;
(2)There is a risk of substantial interference with the appropriate conduct of the business of the Company;
(3)There is a risk of violating applicable laws.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, in principle, information other than Personal Information, such as History Information and Characteristic Information, will not be disclosed.
Article 6.Correction and Deletion of Personal Information
The user may apply using the procedure established by the Company to correct or delete incorrect Personal Information of the user held by the Company.
If the Company determines that it is necessary to accommodate such a request, the Company shall correct or delete such Personal Information and shall notify the user without delay.
Article 7.Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.
Where the Company is requested by the Person to discontinue using or delete his/her Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as "Discontinuation of Use") on the grounds that such information was inappropriately used or acquired, the Company shall conduct an investigation as necessary without delay,
and based on the result thereof, shall discontinue using such Personal Information and notify the Person to that effect. However, when a Discontinuation of Use requires substantial cost or is otherwise difficult to complete, and there is an alternative measure that can protect the rights and interests of the Person, such alternative measure will be taken.
Article 8.Modification of Privacy Policy
The contents of this Policy may be modified without notice to the users.
Unless otherwise provided by the Company, the modified Privacy Policy shall become effective upon posting such policy on this website.
